What is an Outcome and What do they mean for my student's Grade/Report Card/Shehada at the End of Trimester 1?

OUTCOMES

An Outcome is a Standard in which is designed in the ADEC curriculum for your student to learn according to grade level. The following outcomes are for Grade 5 students for the subjects f English, Math, and Science. Students will be graded and assessed on how well they meet these outcomes. Each student will either receive a grade of (E) which is for emerging, (D) for Developing, or (M) for if they have mastered the outcomes.

Last year many students did not fully reach or Master many of the outcomes, which resulted in semester grades such as a C, D, E. Although these grades are compiled by a computer, does not mean that your student is not doing well in class or does not try. These outcomes are designed for the highest level, and considering these students are English Language Learners, it will be very hard to reach Mastered in many of the Outcomes, thu resulting in grades that many not look or be as desirable as you would like.  I promise that we will work together to reach the full potential of your student this year in my  class, but keep in mind this information about these outcomes.
